This is a list of action-adventure video games.

There are a lot of games classified as action-adventures, these are the games which have both action and adventure elements (solving some various puzzles). Seeing as almost all action games contain a puzzle or two, not every such game will be classified under this sub-genre. Only the games which involve strong puzzle-solving elements (be those puzzles involving using items, block-moving puzzles or any other kind) will be included.

A few good examples of games fitting the sub-genre are Beyond Good and Evil, Little Big Adventure and Outcast.
